Psalm 116

I love the LORD
because he has heard
my appeal for mercy.
Because he has turned his ear
to me,
I will call out to him as long as I live.

The psalmist understands, in this moment,that even in sin, even in despair, even in depression – there is only one who hears and answers with grace, mercy, salvation.

The Lord is gracious and righteous. Compassionate. A “guard.” A Savior.

When I most need the Lord, and I turn to find Him, He is always there. He has never abandoned. Never denied me His compassionate, caring, rescuing love.

How can I possibly repay this ultimate goodness from the Lord?

By walking with integrity before His people. His people need to see those who have been saved living with integrity before them.

Lord, I will fulfill my vows to you.
